I just spotted door caps for the Teryx KRX 1000 and I'm thinking about grabbing a set. I hear they're darker gray than the photo, anyone know if they're paintable? Would be sweet to color match them to the rig

Do you know what kind of plastic the door caps are made from? knowing that might help to ensure that the door caps won't be damaged when you try to paint them

Painting them is definitely doable!
A buddy actually prepped and painted similar plastic accessories to color-match his rig with great results.
Just make sure to properly clean, scuff, and prime them with a plastic adhesion promoter before laying down your color-matched paint and a good clear coat for durability.
That makes a huge difference in the finished look!

yep, painting those door caps is easy. Just clean them up, scratch them a bit, and use a plastic primer to help the paint stick. Then, paint them with a matching color and a clear coat. They'll look brand new

My friend painted his KRX door inserts last summer. He prepped them well, and they turned out great. They've lasted thru mud, rain, and even a few rollovers. The key is good prep work
