Front differential sensor damage

I got a 2020 KRX and it looks like it's got a busted connector on one of the front differential plugs. I've been thinking that it could be the speed sensor, but I really want to be sure before ordering anything. Anything I should know about when replacing it?

If the connector looks damaged, it could be the speed sensor yeah. Check the wiring for corrosion, broken pins, or loose connections, sometimes it's just the plug and not the sensor itself. If you decide to replace it, make sure the area is clean, avoid over tightening, and disconnect the battery to be safe. Also, use dielectric grease on the new connector to help prevent future issues.

I think the speed sensor is at fault here. What you should consider before anything else is if you're gonna bring it to a trusted mechanic or just some random to save up on costs. So, what are you willing to risk? Sensors are an easy fix you can DIY but then again... if you mess up you're gonna end up having to replace more.

Yeah thats the tricky part for real. If you've got a trusted mechanic, it might be worth paying a little extra for peace of mind, especially if you're not 100% sure. But if you're handy and careful, its a doable DIY. Just don't cut corners.

I had the same kind of problem with my old KRX. I figured it was the sensor at first, but it turned out to be just a plug that was cracked. I cleaned it, put some dielectric grease on it, and it's been working great ever since. It just goes to show you, sometimes it's the small stuff that gets you.
